Rescue team of China taking out people from collapsed building |
A major earthquake in southern Chinese state of
Sichuan hit by a magnitude of 6 Richter scale on late Monday night killing
about 11 people and injured in between 120-122 people. The Ministry of
Emergency Management has sent firefighting rescue team and other rescue crew.
The Ministry of Emergency Management and the Nation Food and Strategic Reserves
Administration have sent supply of food and 5000 tent, 10,000 folding beds and
20,000 quilts (a warm
bed covering made of padding enclosed between layers of fabric and kept in
place by lines of stitching) to the earthquake prone area.
The epicentre was 16 kilometre deep the surface such shallow
earthquake can damage much of the construction and building gets collapsed
easily.
