A new global gender equality index has been launched by name SDG(Sustainable Development Goal) gender index 2019 which has been developed by the Equal Measure 2030. It is a group of organisation of regional and global putting effort to make the report on gender equality. Organisations are African Women's Development and Communication Network, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Asia-pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women and International Women's Health Coalition.
The report has taken 17 factors to give country score out of 100 where Denmark score highest score of about 89.3 placing position of 1st following are top 10 Finland, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Germany, Canada, Ireland and Australia. The least scoring country are Chad and DR Congo. India has scored 95 and USA 28th position UK 17th and China 74 position
