ENCEPHALITIS KILLED MORE THAN 100 CHILDREN IN MUZAFFARPUR

Muzzaffarpur, Bihar hits with the Acute Encephalitis syndrome (AES) which is also called chamki bukhar in local language. Its not new infection this happen evey year this time, but this year condition is serious and critical. As per report more than 100 children have died due to acute encephalitis syndrome in Muzzaffarpur and in the nearby areas of Muzzaffarpur like Sitahari, Motihari, Vaishali and South Champaran also witnessed death of child.

This viral infection mainly caused to the poor and scioeconomic class of family children. The infection Encephalitis spreading potential linked by the Litchi fruit which are very famous of Muzzaffarpur.

Litchis are being linked to the cause of acute encephalitis syndrome because of when a child eats litchi doesn't take any other staple diet like diet which include protein, Carbohydrate, Vitamin ad all other nutrients so in that case sucks all the glucose from the liver to digest itself which cause low sugar level in body this is being seen in malnourished children and also when a unripe litchi is being eaten presence of hypoglycin A or methylenecyclopropylglycin this also causes a sudden drope of sugar level in blood. Litchi seeds have some natural content that can also cause hypoglycaemia.

But litchi is not the only factor government is trying to resolve the problem as there children of 6-10 months who don't even eat litchis also suffering from AES, high temprature and heat waves are also likely to cause infection.

Symptoms are high fever, head ache, memory loss and confusion etc.
